How Can I Transfer My Domain to HostNowNow?

Step 1: Get your EPP code

For you to transfer a domain, you need the EPP code of the domain. The EPP code is an authorization code that is known only by whoever has admin access to a domain. You will have to contact your current domain registrar if you don't know what the EPP code of your domain is.

Step 2: Place a domain transfer order

Once you have the EPP code of your domain, you can place a transfer order by visiting https://hostnownow.com/domain-transfer/

Once the domain transfer order is placed and activated, an authorization email will be sent to the domain's admin contact (the email address specified as the administrative contact when the domain was registered). Once the admin authorizes the transfer through email, the transfer process begins and typically takes 5-7 calendar days to complete.

But .NG domain extension transfers are completed immediately after the order activation.

It is crucial to make sure your domain passes this checklist because there are a number of factors that could stall your domain transfer process.

1. Ensure that the email address associated with your domain is correct and functional. During the process of transfer, emails will be sent to this email address to complete the transfer.
Check that the domain name is not locked. Even if you consent to proceed, the transfer will not be completed if the domain is locked from transfer. To ensure that your domain name is not locked, go to whois.com, and check the status on the whois page to ensure that it says "OK" and not "Client Transfer Prohibited" . If the answer is no, you will need to contact your current registrar and request to have your domain unlocked.

2. If Domain Privacy is enabled, it will prevent us from verifying your domain ownership. This will need to be disabled by your current registrar.

3. Is the domain older than 60 days? ICANN regulations prevent the transfer of a domain that is registered for less than 60 days. HostNowNow will not be able to transfer a domain until 60 days have elapsed.

4. Is this domain far enough from expiration? Some registrars may not allow an expired domain to be transferred away.

5. Is this domain not currently in redemption? Once a domain is in redemption status, a domain will be unable to be transferred.
