How to Verify Domain Ownership in Google Search Console

1. Go to search.google.com/search-console/


2. Click the blue 'Start now' button to sign in to your Google account.
 


 
3. If you already have your Google account saved on your device, the below will be displayed


 
4. Once you are signed in, click on the "Add Property" button in the top-left corner of the Google Search Console dashboard.


 
5. Type in your Domain Name and click continue


 
6. Copy the code provided.


 
7. To add the code to your domain, open a support ticket or send an email to [email protected]. You can also add entries from your cPanel account. Click the link below to learn more.

8. Upon our team's confirmation that it has been added or after you have added this from your cPanel, return to the Google Search Console and click Verify to complete the verification.

9. You will see Ownership Verification Failed if the verification has not been completed. It can take up to 24 hours for the verification to finish, which is often much faster.

 

10. If the verification has finished, you will see Ownership Verified.

 

Make sure to keep your verification in place to continue accessing Google Search Console and other associated services. If you make significant changes to your website's domain or URL structure, you may need to re-verify your site.
