How to set up email accounts on Android devices.

1. Look for the Email icon/Mail application on your android device

2. Select 'Add a new account' and choose your email provider (e.g. Hotmail, Gmail, etc.).

3. To add a webmail account, select ‘other’ and enter your full webmail address; for example [email protected], and then click Next

     

 

4. The Mail Options will allow you to set up with POP3, IMAP or Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync (IMAP is strongly recommended as it allows users to sync & view their emails on multiple devices).

5. In the Password text box, enter your webmail password.

6. For Incoming server settings:

  • Username: Your user name is the same as your webmail address (for example [email protected])
.Please note that the Username must be your full email address instead of just your name
  • Password: Use your webmail account’s password.
  • IMAP/POP3 server: mail.domain.com (where domain.com should be replaced by your domain name)
  • Security type: None
  • Server Port: steps to get your server port are highlighted underneath

7. For Outgoing server settings.

  • Username: Your user name is the same as your webmail address (for example [email protected])
  • Password: Use your webmail account’s password.
  • SMTP server: mail.domain.com where domain.com should be replaced by your domain name.
  • Security type: None
  • Server Port: steps to get your port details are highlighted underneath

   

8. Click 'NEXT' then ‘sign-in’.

9. You’re all set!

 


To get your server port details, follow the below steps:

- Login to CPanel

- Click on 'Email Accounts' under the 'Email' section


- Check for the email you wish to set up and click ‘Connect Devices’ beside it

- Scroll to get your IMAP and POP3 Port details needed in step 6 & 7
